  That is just a stock photo.

  We dont know if the people in that picture are depressed.

  For all we know they are in the break room of a university doing their college assignments.

  I think it takes a lot of things, a lot of work not to be depressed.

  One ingredient is to get up, get moving. An excessive amount of time on the puter then 4 to 6 hours

  in front of the boob tube could be the road to serious depression.

  Everybody has to work out their own slavation, translated in 21st century atheistic terms.

  Everyon is resonsible for their own happiness.

  In the past when I would feel excessively depressed I would google the solution.

  If your thought process works for you power to you.

  I cant say what is ultimately true or right.

  I have been thru some college, anatomy, physiology.

  Man wants to feel good, man is trying all kinds of ways to release dopamine.

  Ways to release dopamine are injestion of drugs, physical activity, exercise, thinking pleasant thoughts.

  For a certain number of people believing God is loving and beautiful probably releases a lot of dopamine.

  And they dont have to buy drugs, or exercise to feel good.

  And people can twist words to make bad good and good bad so in the end no one knows up from down.

  But to address your topic statement "to create an animal that does this shows the cruelty of God"

  There are a lot of bible thumpers that would argue God didnt do that, the flesh eating bug is a result of

  sin and misfortune in this sinful state.

  They would also say the price of admission to salvatoin is one death.

  No one gets out a live.

  The news topic seem somewhat missleading to me. Necrotizing fasciitis

  is a bacteria. Not a bug. This paticular bacteria is the result of the overuse of antibiotics.

  So its kind of a man engineered bacteria rather than a God engineered bacteria.

  Probably man engineered as a result of greed by the insurers and health care industry.

  new york city is on my list of places that i want to live in.

  I am sure there are better restaurants in New York city, I have even been to a handful.

  But I just went to New York in March and the only restaurant I remember that many would know

  about was Katz delli.

  Thats where they shot "When Harry met Sally"

  They were in a contest on the travel channel with the 2nd ave Delli for who had the cities best pastrami

  sandwich.

  15$ for a pastrammi sandwich was a shock to my Southern sensabilities.

  A friend told me everythings expensive in New York.

  Cofty, I'm just saying that the media and social connections are away to keep the sheep in line.

  If you dont want to suffer from guilt you have to step out of line.

  I see you are a soccer player. I just retired at 60 and started playing soccer the first time in my life.

  It's a blast I grew up in America with baseball, American football and hockey.

  I'm playing indoor 5 man on a side right now, I am thinking of signing up for outdoor after this season ends

  in June.

  If we evolved? Guilt is not biological.

  Man becomes what he thinks about.

  If he thinks he wants a new car and can afford one he gets a new car,

  if he cant afford one he works harder or different and gets a new car,

  or he decides I'm going to be happy without a car and then he doestn think about a car anymore.

  Man, society thru televison, radio, church, religion teaches man to feel bad, guilty about certain behaviors

  thru the news, sermons, advertising etc.

  So if one doesnt want to feel guilty they can start by dropping out of society ie watching television, listening to the radio,

  going to church and they wont feel guilty or bad about as much, also they may become very self sufficient.

  I dont see guilt as being evolutionary, I just see it as being what man thinks about.
